City of Lloydminster Waste Management (Landfill)  Frequently Asked Questions (pdf)   2009-10 Waste Collection & Recycle Collection  Zones and Calendar (pdf) Important Note:  Effective June 1, 2006 - residential waste collection and blue box collection will be following a "same day" pickup schedule.  Collection calendars are delivered to residences yearly; if you did not receive a calendar, they are available at City Hall or at Quik Pick Waste Disposal.  All collections will be done on the front street only on the designated day. Garbage must be out by 6:00 a.m. on the morning of the collection day in your neighbourhood. The City of Lloydminster has implemented daytime, front street residential waste pick-up, in all areas.  All residents who have back alleys will be required to place garbage on the front street only on collection day. The maximum weight per container is 50 lbs. All trees and branches, etc. must be 3' in length or less and properly bundled. Effective August 1, 2007 used electronics will be accepted for recycle at the landfill. Electronics Recycling Program      Click here for information regarding: Tire Disposal Fees (pdf) Cardboard Prohibited at Landfill Disposal of Waste Paint Rechargeable Battery Recycling-Local Locations for Recycling Landfill Information      The City of Lloydminster landfill can be reached by: travelling straight north on 40th Avenue for approximately 3.5 km - the landfill is located on the east side of the road; OR from 50th Avenue, turn east on 67th street and travel approximately 1.75 km, then turn north and the landfill will be on the east side of the road. All waste transported in a vehicle must be covered and securely tied. Any unsecured load may result in a fine. Corrugated cardboard is not accepted at the landfill - it may be set out with the blue box or taken to the recycle depot.
