The City of Lloydminster participates in a renewable energy program through participation in the Alberta Municipal Services Corporation Electric Energy Aggregation Program.

The City receives a certificate yearly that indicates the total consumption of certified renewable energy produced in Alberta from wind, biomass and hydro.  The certificates are provided to demonstrate that our municipality is taking concrete action to help to reduce greenhouse gas emission.
