Lloydminster, Canada's only Border City is a bustling community of approximately 26,500 people.  Serving a trade area of 150,000 strong, Lloydminster boasts the amenities of a larger centre while maintaining the comforts and atmosphere of a much smaller community.  Some of our amenities include a state of the art recreational centre, museum, theatre, shopping, numerous parks and arenas, schools and Lakeland College.   We are close to all types of outdoor recreation activities, and are strategically located between Edmonton and Saskatoon.

The Executive Assistant will provide senior administrative support services to the Mayor, City Manager and Council in a private and confidential manner. The primary role of the Executive Assistant is to enable the Mayor and Council to better serve the City of Lloydminster through consistent communication, community connectedness, positive inter-governmental working relationships and optimized work processing/meeting processes.  On-site meeting and facility support for activities involving the Mayor will be a key activity for this position. Out of town meeting, event bookings and travel planning will be managed by the Executive Assistant.

This position will manage and prioritize all communications directly relating to correspondence with the Mayor & Council.  The Executive Assistant will provide support, including the preparation of correspondence, reports, meeting agendas, minutes and the records management system. Managing the schedule and Mayor's agenda, Strategic Planning administration and Media Relations are emerging responsibility areas for this position.

The candidate should be a graduate of a recognized Business College or have demonstrated success with 5 years of progressive responsibility in a senior administrative support role. Candidates must possess a high level of organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work accurately, independently, and efficiently under strict deadlines is a pre-requisite. There will be periodic non-standard work hour requirements and could be some travel required with this diverse and exciting opportunity.
