COMMITTEE REPORTS

CORPORATE AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

1.Council consideration of the recommendation that Council, being satisfied that no Notice of Objection has been served within the time period provided by the Expropriation Act, and upon receiving proof of service and of publication, approves the expropriation of lands described as follows:

MERIDIAN 4, RANGE 1, TOWNSHIP 50, SECTION 2 

ALL THAT PORTION OF THE SOUTH EAST QUARTER WHICH LIES

NORTH OF THE NORTHERLY LIMITS OF THE CANADIAN

NORTHERN RAILWAY AS SHOWN ON RAILWAY PLAN 3999R

EXCEPTING THEREOUT: 0.440 HECTARES (1.09 ACRES) MORE

OR LESS, SUBDIVIDED UNDER PLAN 8322831 EXCEPTING

THEREOUT ALL MINES AND MINERALS

and authorizes the execution, on behalf of the City of Lloydminster, of the Certificate of Approval.

The Chief Administrative Officer or his designate is authorized to sign any subsequent documents or notices required under the Expropriation Act 

ENGINEERING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE 

1.   Council consideration of the Engineering and Transportation Committee recommendation to release the Contract Lien Fund Holdbacks for the 44 Street Rehabilitation to Alberta Asphalt Enterprises Inc. in the amount of $250,297.47 plus GST.  

2.   Council consideration of the Engineering and Transportation Committee recommendation to enter into an Amending Agreement with the Province of Alberta for the Federal Gas Tax Fund and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign all necessary documents.

1.Council consideration of the Parks and Recreation Committee recommendation to approve the release the partial Lien Holdback of $5,907.03 plus GST for the Metal Cladding on the Communiplex to Craftex Builders.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE

1.Council consideration of the Planning and Development Committee recommendation to instruct the City Clerk to prepare a bylaw to rezone part of Block E, Plan 332-2541 and Part of C. of T. 082-355-623 in the N.W. ¼, Sec. 26, Twp. 49, Rge. 1, W4M and part of N.W. ¼, Sec. 26, Twp. 49, Rge. 1, W4M and part of Lot 1, Block D, Plan 022-4387 in the S.W. ¼, Sec. 35, Twp. 49, Rge. 1, W4M, from A - Agriculture to PR, Parks and Recreation and from A- Agriculture to DC1 - Direct Control #1.
