indicates new landfill hours of operation effective July 1, 2010
Blue Boxes for use in the Recycling Project may be picked up at the Recycle Depot, located at 1215-50th Avenue.
Hours of operation are Monday to Saturday, 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
Only those residents charged for garbage collection on their water bill are eligible for curbside pickup at this time.
Curbside collection of recycle materials will follow the same schedule as the regular collection of garbage. Participants are asked to place their Blue Box at the curb in the front of their house the evening before regular garbage collection.
Please refer to your garbage collection calendar and the list provided below of materials to be recycled.

1. Clear Glass Jars: vegetable, soup, juice etc. |

5. Cans: Tin food cans, aluminum cans. |

9. Boxboard-single layered cardboard (cereal boxes, pop cases, cracker & shoe boxes). Please make sure that all plastic and waxed paper are removed from boxboard before recycling. |

DIRECTIONS:
Remove plastic caps and lids from all glass and plastic items, except for Type II containers which can be recycled (refer to plastic containers accepted). Remove the wire handles from the ice cream pails.
Rinse all cans, glass bottles and jars with cold water. Rinse all cooking oil containers with hot water. Place dry items loose it the Blue Box.
Labels can be left on all items, except for cans.
Cans can be flattened to make more room in the Blue Box.
No loose tin lids.
Put newspaper into plastic grocery bags and put untied into the Blue Box.
If your Blue Box is full, place overflow materials into untied plastic bags or deliver to the Recycle Depot. Please place only one type of item in each bag.
Do not use green garbage bags, which could be mistaken for garbage.
